Our story
One set changed everything.
I came to Miami with no connections. One 30-minute set turned into a residency offer, and I learned what every DJ eventually learns: the right skills open doors fast.
In 2022 I founded Miami DJ Academy to teach those skills the right way. Real club gear from the first lesson. Teachers who actually play Miami’s best rooms. And a community that keeps you playing long after the course ends.
Today we’re Florida’s only female-owned DJ school, with more than 1,000 students and counting.

Who we teach
If you love music, you belong here.
Founders, lawyers, bartenders, parents and teens. Most of our students have never touched a DJ controller before, and no musical background is needed.
We also teach kids and teens through our Kids Classes and school programs, including an ongoing DJ program at The Cushman School.

Before you ask
Questions we hear every week.
Am I too old to start?
No. Many of our students start in their 30s, 40s and 50s. DJing is about ears and timing, and both get better with life experience.
I have zero musical background.
Most of our students don’t either. We start from zero on club-standard gear and guarantee you’ll be DJing after 10 lessons.
Do I need my own equipment?
No. You learn on our Pioneer CDJ-3000s and DJM-900NXS2 at the studio. We’ll tell you what’s worth buying when you’re ready.
What happens after the course?
You join our WhatsApp community of students and graduates: paid gig opportunities, Open Decks, and people to play with.
