This 10-hour course, divided into 10 one-hour lessons, is designed for experienced DJs who are ready to take their skills to the next level. Get ready to dive deep into advanced techniques, creative workflows, and professional-grade performance methods. You’ll work extensively on your music library, preparing tracks for live sets using Rekordbox. Expect to do a lot of homework as this program is highly focused on practical applications and live performance readiness. Each lesson builds on the last, pushing you to develop your skills and creativity to deliver exceptional live DJ sets. Additionally, you’ll learn to work with three CDJs simultaneously, mastering complex transitions and multi-track mixing.

Lesson #1. Mastering Loops on 3 CDJs 3000

• Creating Seamless Transitions: Use loops to extend intros/outros for smoother blends or create live mashups with drum loops and acapellas.
• Building Tension and Release: Shorten loop lengths and add effects like reverb to build anticipation before a big drop.
• Recovering Mistakes: Use loops to recalibrate quickly and keep your set on track.
• Improvisational Creativity: Loop unexpected elements like vocal hooks or melodies and combine them with RMX-1000 effects for live improvisation.

Lesson #2. Hot Cue Techniques on 3 CDJs 3000

• Instant Navigation: Quickly jump to key track sections (drops, breakdowns) to adapt to your crowd’s energy.
• Creative Sampling: Trigger hot cues to create rhythmic stutters or call-and-response effects.
• Live Remixing: Rearrange tracks on the fly using hot cues, or create mashups and medleys by combining cues from multiple tracks.
• Dynamic Energy Control: Seamlessly shift between low- and high-energy sections to maintain excitement.

Lesson #4. Spin Back Techniques (Vinyl Jog Mode)

Lesson #8. Mastering the RMX-1000.  X-Pad & Live Improvisation

  performance.

  in real-time to add spontaneous flair and creative energy to your
  sets.

  randomly, in real club and festival situations. 

Lesson #9. Key Sync & Harmonic Mixing (Advanced Control)

• Understanding Key Sync: Learn how Key Sync works in Rekordbox
  and how it affects musical flow.
  Harmonic Mixing Logic: Use harmonic rules to blend tracks smoothly
  without clashing melodies or vocals.
  Safe Key Shifting: Learn when shifting 1–2 keys is clean and when
  more aggressive shifts require advanced control.
  Manual vs Automatic Key Control: Compare Key Sync with manual
  key adjustments for professional results.

Lesson #10. Creative Key Shifting & Sync as an Emergency Tool

• Key Shifting Before the Drop: Use loops combined with gradual key
  shifts to build tension and reset cleanly on the drop.
  • Key Shift + FX Combinations: Apply filter, echo, reverb, and build
  effects while shifting key for dramatic transitions.
  • Sync as an Emergency Tool: Use the Sync button to recover from
  mistakes, fix drifting BPMs, or save a mix live.
  • Deck Shifting Technique: Seamlessly move a playing track from one
  deck to another using Sync without stopping the music.
